Infant Program at Hill and Dale

General Details

Hill and Dale is licensed to care for children starting at 6 weeks old. In our infant area we have two separate rooms: one for younger infants and one for older infants. Our room for the younger infants can have up to 4 infants with 1 caregiver and our older infant room can have 5 infants when the average age is 9 months old.

Our Curriculum

As an infant at Hill and Dale, your child will:

  • Develop language skills as they are spoken to and responded to
  • Develop both small and large motor skills through various activities that involve the use of their bodies
  • Develop pre-reading skills through spoken rhymes by the teachers
  • Develop pre-math skills through finger plays by the teachers

Your infant will eat and sleep according to their own schedule. A key component of building trust for an infant is insuring that their needs are being met. Each child will receive individualized attention throughout the day.

Health and Safety

Health and safety are our top priority at Hill and Dale. All toys are sanitized daily, mouthed toys are removed and cleaned after a child has played with them. In addition, each infant has their own crib that is cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis and as needed. To ensure the identity of all adults authorized to withdraw your child, we use a fingerprinting method to verify adults who come to check-out children. Along with monthly fire drills, the Clark County Fire Department also conducts disaster and earthquake drills.

Enrollment Forms for Infants

To enroll, the following forms must be completed. If you have any questions, just call or come by our center and we will be happy to assist you. We also have copies on hand at our center that you can fill out or take with you.
